Scripture: I Corinthians 15:55-58; I John 3:16
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Christ Jesus.” It is no secret that people of God experience problems. Plans are changed, revised or totally cancelled. Unanswered prayers tend to lead to doubt or fear. In all of life moments, we are able to overcome because we have found completeness in Christ Jesus.
Victory is success over an opponent. Upon acceptance of Christ, we become free from the snares of the opponent, the devil. It is his mission to destroy the gift of eternal life for every believer in Christ Jesus. But he has no hold over the believer who is grounded in Christ. To make time to meditate on the life of Christ, his birth, his life ministry, his death and his resurrection keeps us in connection with him. In every aspect, Christ achieved the victory. His love for his Father and his love for us took him to the cross. It was there that he laid down his life for the sins of the world. Have you fully accepted Christ?
When life is ended, we can’t take anything with us. Our soul will be required. Where are you in relationship with Jesus? In him, we are made complete. It is by his power that we do overcome all things. During these very troubling times for many, continue to find your strength, love and faith in the salvation of Christ. He became our Conqueror, so that we will become more than conquerors.
We are never alone. He is constantly leading and pulling us in his way that has been accepted by our heavenly Father. “Wherefore, God have highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth, and that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.” In him only do we have victory in all things. Take hold of it and don’t allow the strong forces of the opponent to take what Christ died to give to you, victory.
