Scripture: Isaiah 43:1-3; John 10:22-30; Malachi 3:17
If we had a thousand tongues, we still could not thank God enough for his love. We are so important to him. The Prophet Isaiah wrote a very heart-warming message to Israel from God. “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine”.
The blessings of the nation Israel remains present in today’s spiritual kingdom, in which are believers in Jesus Christ. God, the Creator of heaven and earth, redeemed us. Redemption is the action of saving or being saved from sin. Jesus gave his life, to make our life free from sin. His life-giving sacrifice is offered to all. This is one gift that we do not want to deny.
When we do contrary to his will, we sin. We are commanded to love and worship him only. It is in the faith of Christ, we are made free from the bondage of sin and given the mercies of God’s forgiveness.
In the Gospel of John chapter 10, Jesus taught that the sheep hear his voice, he knows the sheep and the sheep follows him. There is not a time when Jesus does not know where we are, what we are doing or what we need. Belonging to God tells us that he has our best interest in plan. In Christ, we have all that we need.
The sheep, refers to believers in Christ, are in the hands of his Father and no one can pluck them out. When one accept the gift of salvation that is in Christ, we enter into a spiritual family with Christ and God. In him alone, we protected from the thief which seeks to steal, kill and destroy life. He wants to make us feel like life has no value. Look to the cross of Christ, you will see your value. Alleluia!
When Jesus Christ makes his glorious second advent, he will gather his jewels to enter into one of the twelve glorious gates. “And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels…” You belong to our Almighty Father and Savior Jesus Christ. He said “Thou Art Mine”.
